Field trip to Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang

On August 6-8th, after the Networking event in Hanoi, AVSE Global delegation had a meaningful field trip to two northern mountainous provinces, Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang.

In Thai Nguyen, the delegation had a meeting with the Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen People’s Committee, Trinh Viet Hung, visiting and working with the Management Board of the provincial industrial park, the Association of Enterprises and the Government Investment and Development Company TNG. Thai Nguyen leaders acknowledged that in addition to positive results of socio-economic development, there are still potentials of which the province has not yet taken full advantages.

AVSE Global confirmed its wish to share and analyze the advantages and disadvantages in the socio-economic development of Thai Nguyen, to help Thai Nguyen develop in line with its strengths as a central province of the northern mountainous area of Vietnam, as well as make use of available natural resources.

In Cao Bang, the delegation was received by the Chairman of the People’s Committee, Hoang Xuan Anh. AVSE Global has proposed specific recommendations concerning the scheme on specific policies and mechanisms for the development of Ban Gioc tourist resort. AVSE Global also suggested building resources for the study of the construction of Dong Dang (Lang Son) – Tra Linh high way (Cao Bang).

Besides, the delegation emphasized its interests in the development of the province under the cooperation framework of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) as well as its support for the conservation and promotion of the Non-Nuoc Cao Bang geopark.

Regarding training, Cao Bang province suggested that the AVSE Global coordinate the organization of training programs, providing consultants on economic management and tourism development.

The field trip to Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang is part of the Association’s aim to connect regional value chains, increase international competitiveness and provide proactively for provinces in Vietnam./.
